A Word From the Area Manager
 Are we ready for Spring yet? It is so exciting to see sunshine and green all around us! We have many things to look forward to over the coming months. April is “Resident Appreciation” Month in our community. We have events planned that are meant to show our appreciation and our thanks for being a resident in our community. Please see inside this newsletter for details on the upcoming social events and programs that are planned. The 40th Anniversary of Earth Day is April 22nd and we encourage all of our residents to help celebrate this wonderful day. “LIVE GREEN WITH HHUNT” has information on how to conserve energy and take note of the initiatives that HHHunt has taken to exceed government standards for energy efficiency and water conservation.
 
As the weather warms up, we have many improvement projects on the horizon. We are finalizing our improvements to the Briarwood Clubhouse bathrooms and the Huntsman Pool Party Room. The Community as a whole is scheduled for several new roofs, extensive paving and concrete repairs. We are also looking forward to improvements to some of the buildings with new siding and staining scheduled for the summer months. With fresh mulch being applied to our building entrances, we look forward to planting Spring flowers in May. The Hethwood Foundation is gearing up for pool season and we are now accepting lifeguard applications. HHHunt also has pools in Roanoke and Lynchburg. We encourage lifeguards to apply for a summer job at one of our communities; you will have an opportunity to work with a great group of people. A reminder to all of our residents, we will be offering swim lessons with the opening of the pools and we look forward to cheering on our swim team, The Hethwood Hurricanes! The Hurricanes accept swimmers of all ages and swim levels. More information will be available next month.
 
April will also mark the grand finale of the BIGGEST WINNER! We appreciate the fantastic group of people that participated in learning new ways to eat healthy, exercise and encourage each other. The winner will be announced on April 13th. However, they are all winners! I hope all of our residents are off to a great start to Spring.
