Community Events

  • Hethwood Market Nights – 
    Every Tuesday come out to the Briarwood Clubhouse from 5 – 7 pm, and enjoy a Pulled Pork or Beef BBQ sandwich, chips, and a cookie for $5! Accepting cash and credit cards! No Hethwood Market night on December 23rd and 30th due to the holidays.
  • Get Pizza for $5 from Dominos– 
    Every Wednesday come out to the Briarwood Clubhouse from 4:30 – 7:30 pm, and enjoy fresh, hot pizza from Dominos! On December 10th, Dominos will be at the Welcome Center instead of the Briarwood Clubhouse. No Dominos on December 24th and 31st due to the holidays.
  • Pictures with SantaOn Wednesday, December 10th from 5:30 – 8 pm at the Briarwood Clubhouse. Santa Claus is coming to Hethwood! He will be at the clubhouse for pictures with children of all ages. Parents please bring your camera for some great pictures! Do remember to limit your time, as Santa has lots of children to see. We will also have fun crafts for the kids to make while waiting their turn. Please bring 2 cans/boxes of food to be donated to the local food pantry. This food will be used to help many needy families in Montgomery County.
  • Reading Day Luncheon – Thursday, December 11th, starting at 11 am – 1 pm at the Briarwood Clubhouse. Take a break from studying and stop by for lunch, while supplies last!
  • Kids Movie Night – Friday, December 12th starting at 7 pm at the Briarwood Clubhouse. Come out and watch Maleficent - Rated: PG. Enjoy popcorn and Kool Aid while supplies last. Parents please accompany your children.
  • Sunday Night Football Sunday, December 14th starting at 8:30 pm at the Briarwood Clubhouse come out and watch the Cowboys face off against the Eagles on our big screen TV. We will have pizza, snacks, and sodas while supplies last.
  • Exam Study Break Monday, December 15th from 8:30 – 9:30 pm stop by the Briarwood Clubhouse. Snack on some yummy donuts and fresh hot coffee, while supplies last! Good luck on exams and congrats to our graduating seniors!
  • Senior Holiday Lunch & Glass Etching Craft – Thursday, December 18th from Noon – 2 pm at the Huntsman Clubhouse. Join the Hethwood team for a delicious lunch. After lunch we will have some fun etching a wine glass or other glass ware. Bring your own piece if you would like. You can give it as a gift, or you may just want to keep it for yourself! Please RSVP by December 12th at 540-552-5252.
  • Pet Pictures with Santa – 
    Thursday, December 18th from 6 – 7 pm stop by the Briarwood Clubhouse and bring your camera and special furry friend for a photo op with Santa! Please call 552-5252 and reserve your time slot as spots are limited. You must reserve your time slot by December 17th at 4 pm. All pets must be leashed and under owner control at all times. No reptiles please. Admission: Please bring 2 cans/boxes of food to be donated to the local food pantry. This food will be used to help many needy families in Montgomery County.

Blacksburg Events



  • Town of Blacksburg Annual Holiday Parade Friday, December 5th at 7 pm come out and see the lights and hear great music on the streets of downtown Blacksburg.
  • Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech’s Individual tickets are now available for the 2014-15 season performances. From timeless classics and thought-provoking performances to works that bring fresh perspectives, the center’s upcoming performances will be coupled with engaging activities that bring additional opportunities to explore and grow. Tickets for individual performances for the 2014-15 season can be purchased online, at the Moss Arts Center's box office, noon to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, or by calling 540-231-5300. Subscriptions are also available and offer discounted prices. Student and youth tickets are always $10 per performance, including subscriptions.
  • Hethwood Market Come out to the Hethwood Market on Monday nights for BBQ, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for take out dinners, and Thursdays for pork ribs. Check out the Hethwood Market calendar on their Facebook Page for menus, live local artists, and their planned wine/beer tastings from local vineyards and breweries.

Renewal Notices

Thank you for your residency in the Hethwood Community! We are excited to have the opportunity to serve you for another year. If your lease ends during the months of May, June, July, or August, your renewal deadline is quickly approaching so be on the lookout for renewal notices. A fully signed renewal lease is due 120 days prior to your lease end date! Please contact the Welcome Center by phone or email, or stop by during office hours if you have any questions regarding your apartment home or lease options.

The Welcome Center will be hosting a Renewal Open House on December 1st – 6th. On December 1st, the Welcome Center will be open until 6:30 pm, to kick off renewal open house week! Everyone who returns their renewal notice during the Renewal Open House will receive a Hethwood Gift so be sure to look out for your renewal notice and stop by!!!

Complete a survey at our website. Feedback results are very important to us at Foxridge & Hethwood Apartment Homes. In many cases we make changes in response to your input, and we would like the opportunity to ensure we are continually exceeding your expectations.


Snow/Ice Removal

In case of inclement weather, please park your cars at least three feet away from the edge of the sidewalk so that the Service Team will be able to remove any accumulating snow/ice.


Hatha Yoga Classes

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 – 7 pm at the Huntsman Clubhouse.
Cost for classes: $5 per class for Hethwood/Foxridge Residents. This class is appropriate for a variety of ages and levels.

There will be no classes held the last two weeks of December due to the holidays!

We are pleased that instructor Nicole Paglialonga will continue with our Hatha Yoga classes here in Hethwood. Kindly show your driver’s license with your Hethwood or Foxridge address and you will get the special class rate of $5. Please remember to bring your own mat and feel free to email Nicole if you are new or have questions at The_Violinist29@hotmail.com or call the Hethwood Foundation at 552-5252.


Holiday Hours

The Welcome Center will be closed on Tuesday, December 16th from 11:30 am – 1:15 pm.

The Welcome Center will be closed Wednesday, December 24th through Sunday, December 28th.

The Fitness Center will be closed for the Holiday on Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, December 26th. The fitness center will re-open for regular hours (10 am – 9 pm) on Saturday, December 27th and (1 – 9 pm) on Sunday, December 28th. On December 31st, the Fitness Center will close at 5 pm.


Special Holiday Gift Campaign

You can help make the holidays better for your neighbors. For 26 years Hethwood residents, staff, and independent contractors have been helping those less fortunate with a program called “A Special Holiday Gift”. We are accepting donations and will continue to through December 5th. We welcome and encourage everyone to contribute. Any amount is appreciated. 

Our goal this year is $1,728. Please bring donations to the Welcome Center and check out our raffle baskets. You can purchase tickets to try to win one. 100% of donations and purchase of raffle tickets will benefit the following organizations: Women’s Resource Center, Montgomery County Christmas Store, NRV Senior Services, The Montgomery County Humane Society, and The Angel Tree. Thank you in advance for all your support!


Heat Reminder

As the weather gets colder please ensure that the thermostats are set at a minimum temperature of 60 degrees. This minimum temperature must be maintained to prevent pipes from freezing and causing damage to your apartment as well as other apartments in the building.


Ugly Sweater
Photo Contest

Calling all residents who think they have the ugliest holiday sweater! Show off your horrible holiday looks and submit your photos to info@foxridgeliving.com. Include your name and apartment number for your chance to win a prize. Pictures should be submitted starting on December 1st – 5th. The winner will be announced on our Facebook Fan Page!

Complimentary Carpet Cleaning

Complimentary carpet cleaning is currently being offered until the end of March. To qualify you must have lived in your apartment home for six months and have at least three months remaining on your lease.

Please call the Welcome Center at 951-1221 to schedule your carpet cleaning. Space is limited, so reserve your spot TODAY!

**Any appointments not kept by the resident or cancelled within 72 hours of the appointment will be charged a $25 rescheduling fee.**
