The upcoming summer season has so much to offer! From more time in the sun to making memories with friends, what’s not to love? One of our favorite things about summer is embracing healthy living! Here are our healthy living tips for enjoying summer:
Protect Your Skin: If you’re heading outside, grab a hat to keep your head cool and the sun off your face. Make sure to lather up with sunscreen! Using a sunscreen that’s at least SPF 45 and reapplying every two hours will keep your skin from burning.
Indoor Workouts: As temperatures climb higher and higher, indoor workouts can be more practical. Luckily, Hethwood has a fitness center with free weights and cardio equipment on site, making embracing healthy living so much easier.
Outdoor Workouts: Outdoor fitness is still enjoyable in the summer! Try scheduling your outdoor activities outside of 10 am to 5 pm, when temperatures are at their highest. You’ll find cooler temperatures during the early morning and closer to sunset. Make the most of outdoor workouts at Hethwood’s tennis and basketball courts, miles of walking and biking trails, and more. When you’re ready to cool off, take a leisurely swim in our pool.
